It begins with 3 young boys who have snuck out of their houses to camp out in the woods on their 10th birthday. (They aren't brothers, but were born on the same day.) As young boys do, they make a blood pact and unwittingly release a demon that comes back to wreak havoc on their town every 7 years.
As adults with their 30th birthday approaching and the demon attacks growing in severity, they are determined to stop the demon. Three women also come into the picture with unique talents to help them stop the demon for good. The main guy in this book is Cal Hawkins and his love interest is Quin. The following books are The Hollow where Fox and Layla take the lead and ends with The Pagan Stone with Gage and Cybil making huge sacrifices to finally destroy the demon.
